Two-Thirds Done With Book Six!

1 min read

I've just hit 66k words on Book Six, tentatively titled Shattered Knight. I've been going great with the various subplots (Francis Barlbent, Toby Fanshawe) and just about have those wrapped up. Now I have to actually focus on the main part of the story--Morgan and Marissa's (and Wyvrndell's, of course) piece of the action. I've been a bit stuck on this, but I think I'm finally getting something of a breakthrough. Fingers crossed.

In other news, I've made a couple of changes to the Knight Out On the Town Schedule for 2026. Ocean State RenFaire rejected my application (2nd year running) and so we're replacing that venue with Upstate RenFaire in Norwich, NY (near Oneonta, which means Brooks BBQ is in the offing!!!!). Also, I've gotten word that Royal & Rogues Festival (Rome, NY) is not happening this year, so that one is also off the schedule. But we still have lots of shows for you to catch us at before the season is over.

Online (ไซด์ไลน์) communication has changed the way people build relationships. Through messages, video calls, and social platforms, two people can stay connected no matter how far apart they live. It creates space for daily conversation, emotional support, and shared experiences even across time zones. Many relationships begin online because it is easier to express thoughts honestly in writing before meeting in person. While it offers convenience and speed, it also requires trust, patience, and clear communication. When used well, online communication can strengthen understanding, deepen affection, and help people feel close in a modern digital world.
