Some Major Changes...

As many of you know, my first five books have been published by Champagne Book Group. I have always had an excellent relationship with CBG--I've loved my editor Nikki Andrews (who, though retired, is still a good friend), and they've always done a great job on my covers and in ensuring you get a quality product when you purchase one of my books, either paperback or digital editions.

Unfortunately, in October, Champagne ceased operations. There were management and fiscal issues which could not be overcome, and the publisher of record decided to close the doors. This left a large stable of productive authors, me included, with no publisher.

After quite a bit of finagling, I have managed to get my digital books back on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, and all the other various e-book platforms. Paperbacks are still available through my website. And, for the moment, I am publishing under my own imprint, Rosewood Press (Patty coined the name, and I like it a lot). Here is the logo:

At some point, I may look to sign up with another publisher, but right now it seems a bit silly. There is little a publisher can offer me that I don't already have: the current books are well edited, and have marvelous cover art, and anyone I signed with isn't going to have a major distribution network. So from a business perspective, I would be allowing someone else to essentially cash in on what I already have. As I move closer to completion of Book 6, that may change, but for the time being, here we are...

It’s bittersweet to see CBG close, especially after Nikki’s editing made such a difference in your earlier work—hope the next chapter brings you a team that clicks just as well. I’ve been tracking author-friendly options over at https://ai-for-music.com

It’s bittersweet to hear about Champagne closing, especially after you built such a strong partnership with Nikki and the team—that kind of editorial trust is rare. Wishing you all the best as you navigate this transition, and I’ve been using https://ai-watermark-remover.net
